I have copy Oracle Developer 6i Folder from Windows XP to Windows 8.1 on laptop computer, and also, I have export Oracle from Windows XP and imported on Windows 8.1, so my application is working fine, but the report is not working,the Reports Background Engine continue show the message working only.

| Hii...I've created application in Oracle Form 6i, and database Oracle 9i in windows XP. But now my client saying he want to use this application in windows 7.
For that if i install Oracle XE 10g as database and Oracle Form 6i with patch (for windows 7) will it be ok...??
Can anyone give me helpful suggestion please... |

| There's no patch for Forms 6i on Windows 7.
People have reported that they use this (unsupported and never certified) combination of Oracle software and operating system. Search our Forms forum, you'll find discussions and - hopefully - learn something which will help you run your application on Windows 7. |

well i've install oracle form 6i in windows 7 and its working fine. I just want to know if i install application using software which i said above in window 7 will it cause trouble in future... |

| | Maybe; you can't tell for sure. As I said: Forms 6i was never certified with Windows 7. It is not supported. If anything goes wrong, you can't expect any assistance from Oracle. In other words: YOYO (you're on your own). |
